​I am originally from Dinwiddie, Virginia. Dinwiddie is a really small town located an hour south of Richmond. I am currently attending Radford University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. I am the oldest of three siblings with two sisters, one who is eighteen and one who is fourteen. I have spent my entire life being heavily involved in my community, and I expected to be nothing less than active in the Radford community once I made the transition to college. 


I plan on working in a critical care setting upon graduation from Radford while completing a nurse residency program to better transition from student nurse to registered nurse. After two years of gained experience, I plan to apply to school to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Nurses and nurse anesthetists both encounter people when they are most vulnerable, and in both roles, I plan to give them the care that they deserve. I have currently accepted a job offer at University of North Carolina's Heart at Vascular REX Hospital on the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. 

As for my personal interests and hobbies, I have been riding horses ever since I can remember and competed in horse shows throughout high school, traveling to both local and state level competitions. My specific area of interest was barrel racing and pole bending; my horse is absolutely incredible and gives his whole heart every time I ride him. My original career plan, actually, was to become a large animal vet, but I decided after having to euthanize one of our own that I could not make a career out of having to put a little girl's love to sleep. Aside from loving animals, I enjoy running, yoga, reading, and photography when I have spare time. I also love shopping and traveling. I particularly love traveling to Charleston and the Carolina Beaches.
